Dr Laura McGarrity
“ combining a healthy lifestyle with subtle, simple non-surgical treatments can boost confidence and maintain a natural and refreshed appearance ...”
Laura Graduated in medicine from the University of Glasgow in 1999 and became a Fellow of the Royal College of Anaesthetists in 2003. She undertook her Specialist training in Glasgow before her appointment as an NHS Consultant Anaesthetist with the Ayrshire and Arran Healthboard in 2009.
Originally from Ayrshire, Laura was keen to return to the coast to combine her work as a consultant with bringing up her young family. They have settled very happily in Troon. Her busy work life means that every day is different and she has a broad anaesthetic experience, allowing her to lead theatre teams working within a variety of surgical specialties. She is an experienced Cosmetic surgery anaesthetist and has been part of the CAER team since 2010, working closely with Miss Strick at BMI Rosshall and Carrick Glen Hospitals.
Laura is a keen athlete and firmly believes in the benefits that can result from looking after mind and body with a healthy diet and regular exercise. She believes that combining a healthy lifestyle with subtle, simple non-surgical treatments can boost confidence and maintain a natural and refreshed appearance. She feels privileged to be able to provide such aesthetic treatments allowing women to feel rejuvenated and self-confident. She was delighted to join the CAER aesthetic team embracing the philosophy of ‘less is more’ and the attention to safety and confidentiality that is the hallmark of the CAER team.
