Fractora Firm

Safe, non-invasive and effective skin rejuvenation and contraction, a first for Scotland

Fractora Firm logo

Fractora Firm is a clinically advanced skin care treatment designed to revitalise and renew your skin. Harnessing the Radio Frequency energy of the Bodytite platform, Fractora Firm targets the elasticity of the skin, resulting in smoother, clearer, tighter skin.

Fractora Firm is a safe, non-invasive and effective solution to reverse the signs of ageing by contracting the deep levels of the skin. The result is clearer, smoother skin that is more even in tone and texture. The process is essentially painless, and requires no downtime. Fractora Firm is an advanced aesthetic solution for all skin colours.

Fractora Firm targets the ageing skin of the face and neck, now the new Fractora Firm Plus is proving effective on crepy skin on upper arms, decolletage and knees.

Caer Aesthetics brings you the first treatment of its kind in Scotland. Only available through CAER with Dr Nicola Willis in Ayrshire, Dr Judy Todd in Glasgow and with CAER at BMI Carrick Glen Hospital

How does Fractora Firm Work?

How does Fractora Firm Work?

Bodytite platform Fractora Firm head

Fractora Firm uses the advanced solution available on the Bodytite platform. Fractora Firm targets radiofrequency (RF) energy deep in the skin to stimulate the skin’s production of elastin and collagen.

This stimulation (felt as warmth on the skin) allows skin contraction in the deep layers of the skin and improves its tone and suppleness over a period of time. The control offered by this technology ensures that no area is under or over treated, thereby maximising results and ensuring consistent outcomes.

New to the Fractora Firm range is Fractora Plus, which is used to treat looseness or crepiness of skin on the body. Fractora Firm Plus uses a larger tip than Fractora Firm, and can be particularly effective on crepy skin on the inside of the arms, around the knees, and on the abdomen.

Is Fractora Safe?

Is Fractora Firm safe?

RF energy has been used safely in medicine for over 60 years, but it is only recently that the possibilities for its use in aesthetic medicine have been harnessed. Like many technologies in medicine, it can take a while for the possibilities for aesthetic medicine to filter through. (Botox, for example was used for years to treat muscle spasm long before it was used for cosmetic purposes.)

The RF pulses are carefully controlled to the deeper layers of the skin, and the technology of the Bodytite Platform ensures that no area is under or over treated. Sensors in the device allow for precise thermal control to therapeutic temperatures for optimal skin contraction.

At CAER, your Fractora Firm treatment schedule will be established after a consultation with Dr Nicola Willis. It is recommended that weekly sessions are performed over six weeks; patients with mild laxity of skin may be treated in fewer sessions with more weeks between each treatment.

Does it hurt?

Fractora Firm does not puncture the skin at all. The treatment is essentially painless, being felt on the surface of the skin as warmth. There may be some redness at the site after each treatment session, but this will subside within a few hours. There is essentially no downtime with Fractora Firm

Fractora Firm with other treatments?

Can I use Fractora Firm in combination with other treatments?

Yes, Fractora Firm can be used in combination with most other skin treatments, including Facials, Injectables and Dillers, based on your consultation with your CAER Aesthetics Doctor.

Fractotal Facial

Many Fractora Firm patients will combine Fractora Firm with Fractora Resurfacing for a treatment called Fractotal Facial. Fractotal Facial is an ultra skin rejuvenation treatment that can address all in-demand facial concerns:

Fractora firm and Fractora heads
  • Skin Laxity
  • Uneven Pigmentation
  • Acne Scarring
  • Dyschromia
  • Dull Skin Tone
  • Wrinkles
  • Vascular Lesions
  • Uneven Skin Texture
Fractora

works by combining ablation (precise removal of surface cells) with micro punctures. The resulting firming and freshening of the skin tone and texture is caused by by regeneration of collagen and elastin and the healing and renewal of the skin at its deep levels. Fractora requires local anaesthetising of the skin, and from one to four treatments. It is highly effective when applied once at higher energy levels, for which the patient is treated with sedation or general anaesthetics

Fractora Firm

works by directing RF energy to the deep layers of the skin to stimulate elastin and collagen. The sensation is of warmth, the skin is not punctured and there is essentially no down time on this procedure. No anaesthesia is needed. Fractora Firm requires repeated treatment once weekly, usually for six weeks.

Fractotal Facial

The right Fractotal combination will be determined by your Aesthic Doctor at your consultation. Typical Fractotal treatments involve weekly treatments of Fractora Firm, finishing with a Fractora session.
